| Martha Di Giovanni is the author of both the image and the poem |
In twilight’s hush, beneath moon’s soft gaze,
A guardian flutters in the starlit maze.
Wings wide as whispers weave through dark’s embrace,
Guarding the secrets of this enchanted place.
Armor-clad sentinel, silent and grand,
Bearing lanterns aloft in each delicate hand.
The Twilit Garden’s keeper does stand,
Sovereign ruler over this slumbering lands.
With eyes like moons and heart so bold,
In shades of green and sunset gold.
Each flutter speaks; stories untold,
Of Twilit Garden’s mysteries old.
So fear not the night nor shadows’ dance,
For under his watchful eye’s trance.
Safe are blossoms’ nocturnal romance,
In the garden where twilight spirits prance.
